How it works

Explore history by playing.

  1. The three-card draw at the start of a round 01

    Draw a puzzle

Each puzzle has three cards to solve: an artwork, a monument, a battle, a great figure…

  2. Dating a card on the timeline
Placing a card on the globe to answer “Where?”
    02

    Answer: Where? and When?

Place each card on the timeline, then find its spot on the globe.

  3. The collection — your HistoryDex 03

    Collect and complete your HistoryDex

Get it right: the card joins your collection and reveals its detailed history.

Two ways to play

From the most accessible to the most demanding.

Explorer To start out

Put the cards in order and sort them into the right region. Accessible, no pressure.

Historian For history buffs

Drop the date as precisely as you can on the timeline and pin the spot on the globe. Demanding, precise.

Learn by playing

Every card has a story to tell.

A correct answer adds the card to your collection. Get it wrong and the answer screen shows you where and when the event happened — then dive into its detailed entry.

  • Review the cards you missed and their detailed entry
  • See where and when each event truly happened
